Marketing Coordinator
I am the newest team member here at Buffalo Financial, joining the practice in October 2022 as a Client Relations Specialist and Marketing Assistant, my role is to do my part in helping the practice grow and to also be the first smiling face you see when you come into the office.
I was born in Buffalo, NY, raised in a small suburb 20 minutes south of the city in the town of Elma. My parents, Ralph & Sandy, still reside at our family home. I am the middle child of three girls, my sisters Jill (2 years younger) & Nicole (2 years older). As kids, we were known as “The Gmerek Girls!”
I attended college at Alfred State, where I received my Associates Degree in Marketing and then continued my education at Buffalo State, where I received my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
After working in my chosen field for several years, I married my high school sweetheart Ross, who is a middle School Principal at Iroquois Central School District. We were married in July of 2000 and have three beautiful children; Brittany (18), who just started her college journey at Cortland, Natalie (16) a Junior in High School, and Andrew (14) an 8th grader. While raising our children, my Full-Time job was being a Stay at Home Mom, volunteering at the kids school, field trips, and working part time positions when time allowed.
After 17 years, my children mostly grown and needing me a bit less, I decided it was time to re-join the work force and finally put my college degree to work!
After a severe 2-month stint of COVID and a lot of searching, I found and applied to Buffalo Financial. At first, I was terrified, after that much time, acclimating to an office environment, but I pretty quickly grew to understand how lucky I was to have found a workplace environment that treated its employees with patience, care, and a fun & family like culture, the same way in which I’ve learned they treat their clients.
When I am not in the office or driving all over the entirety of WNY for soccer games, softball championships, or lacrosse tournaments as a Mom Taxi, you can find me outside enjoying my favorite 2-onth season in Buffalo, Summer. Swimming and barbequing with friends and family. We also love to travel, visiting family in Siesta Key is one of our favorite spots. I spend most of my time combing the beach for shells and beach glass and soaking up every minute of sun family time.
